Some people believe this watch is overpriced due to the movement. This may be the case if you’re a diehard automatic movement fan. However I enjoy both types of time pieces and this watch is a steal at $700. The fit and finish and quality of materials is on par with any watch, including my SeaMaster and yes even my Submariner, yet sports a price tag of a fraction of their price. Tag Heuer is no Omega or Rolex but its brand value is still quite high and this watch is an excellent proof of the craftsmanship of this luxury Swiss watchmaker. If you don’t need an automatic movement, want a beautiful fit and finish, sporty time piece with a great name behind it. This is your watch. My only gripe is that the box pictured is an aquaracer/ other higher end Tag model box. This watch comes with the plastic box with leather pillow. Enjoy, you won’t be disappointed.

I use this as a casual watch for weekends. This is my first Tisso, and I am favorably impressed by the workmanship and overall appearance of this timepiece. Although I’m not an expert by any means, I have worked in the watch/jewelry industry as a part-time jewelry salesman throughout my years in college and graduate school, and I have handled and examined Timex, Citizen, Rolex, Tag Heuer, and Patek Philippe watches.
As another reviewer said, this is a heavy men’s watch made of solid stainless steel. The bracelet is very comfortable and well-fabricated. The sapphire crystal is very nice and this feature is usually only available on watches priced well above $500. The yellow tachymeter dials really stand out nicely against the black case back, and craftsmanship is evident in the numerals and sub-dials as well.
If I were looking for a casual watch to present as a gift (or buy for myself), I would definitely go with this watch. I am happy with my purchase. The quality and craftsmanship are evident by simply glancing at it under the fluorescent lights in a typical grocery store. Trust me, you (or your friend) will be satisfied with this watch. The only caveat I can think of is that this is not an everyday dress watch. A dress watch slips effortlessly under the sleeve of a buttoned-down dress shirt, and the case on this watch is simply too thick for the task.

When I opened the package, I was surprised with how this watch looked even better than it did on the web sites. The three small windows on the face are easy to see, but are not as bright as they look in the picture. The silver frame around the face and the hands stand out in a dark background, which is so cool! This watch is not small like baby-G, but is compact and looks like all you need for everyday life is packed inside.
The atomic system and solar power are really convenient as other reviewers describe them, and you don’t have to do anything to keep this watch working accurately. I just grab it and put it on my wrist in the morning! Even though it’s casual, it can be worn for work as well as recreation. Of course, this is G-Shock, so you don’t have to worry about doing damage to it at all, while washing your hands, taking a nap, and even playing sports in the rain!
Personally, I like analog watches better than digital ones because you can quickly see the time in stead of having to picture the clock face in your head. But it’s convenient to have digital display, too, to view the exact minutes and seconds. This watch is basically analog, but has digital display, as well, so you can enjoy the best of both worlds! Just a note, this watch doesn’t have second hand (but you can see seconds on the digital display), and the minute hand moves every twenty seconds. It’s kinda fun to watch.
The only change that I would make is to have the whole face illuminated, including digital display. The LED light only lights up the analog portion of the watch from the bottom of the watch face, and you cannot see the digital display in the dark (You can see the analog portion clearly without any trouble). So you shouldn’t expect to set the alarm in the dark.
But over all, I’m quite satisfied with this watch and would recommend it to anyone looking for a tough, reliable, and good looking timepiece.

- Tissotis a large, heavy man’s man watch. Gets plenty of looks and the bracelet is just beautiful. Keeps excellent time as most quartz movements do. I use this Tissot watch as an everyday casual watch and have banged it numerous times, the sapphire crystal remains scratchless. Thought about buying another or collecting all three Tissot colors.
This Tissot watch could be improved if the night illuminators didn’t take so long to charge. Also it lacks a perpetual calendar but the date is easy to change and only has to be done once every two months.
Try this before spending $2000 – $5000 on breitling, tag, omega
- I received this Tissot watch for Christmas. Strangely, it did not come with a user’s manual but I have been in contact with Amazon Customer Service regarding that issue. The Tissot watch itself is a very deep cobalt blue. The sapphire crystal renders the watch face to be very clear and very reflective in a light source. The Tissot watch is only somewhat easy to read because there is not as a big contrast between the dial and the silver hands of the watch such as you might get with… say… white on black for example. But as a choice of a blue watch, with the stainless steel bracelet, the Tissot watch is truly is a thing of beauty and has a classic, yet artistic look to it. It’s now my dress watch and looks great with a pink Thomas Pink business shirt.
Very good value. And if you like the color blue, you should very much like this Tissot watch, I would think.

* I’ve bought another Invicta in the past and seeing it was time to put it into retirement, I bought this watch just recently to replace it.
To start out, this Invicta is simply a stunning watch just to look at. Looking at the picture, you can see that it consists of black and copper colored metals. In the description, it addresses the copper color as rose gold, but simply put, it gives the appearance of a fresh penny. The contrast in color that it makes though is what truly sets it off as an eye-catcher. As for it’s weight, if you’ve had experience with other metal band watches, it should feel the same honestly. My previous watch, as stated earlier, was the Invicta Men’s 8928OB Pro Diver Two-Tone Automatic Watch (with the coined bezel), and even though it was slightly smaller, it still feels natural on the wrist. If you have a small wrist though, prepare to take off most or all of the removable band links as this has quite a bit of slack compared to my previous watch. In a picture above I will have a comparison of the two.
As for the reliability of the Invicta piece, I’m impressed. The chronograph function is straightforward and adjusting the watch itself is hassle free. I noticed though that on my Invicta watch, the minute sub-dial for timing is set back by a minute. I have no real quarrel with this though because, honestly, its only a minute and it still functions properly,I just simply have to add a minute to my final and that’s all. On the face of the Invicta watch is a bezel piece, and like other watches it moves but is a tad loud if you’re in a quiet setting.
Amazon also offers a similar model labeled as Invicta Men’s 6791 Pro Diver Collection Chronograph Black Ion-Plated Stainless Steel Watch, a real mouth-full. The only discernible difference I can address though is that it features a sportier band, still metal, but a little more decorative. The Invicta band that comes with this watch is very appealing to the eye. It is spit into three rows, the center a metallic black, and the flanking two a brushed black; which I feel is about the same as the other watch if you’re interested. As for the specifics, they check out to be the same, except again, only the band width is at difference.
